I am Michael Alexander, Childrens Author and Poet and this is about me!

Hello, So I'm Michael Alexander, childrens author, engineer, poet and dad to the crowd below!

Writing childrens stories and poetry is, unfortunately, not my full time job. I work as an engineer, but write purely for the love of it. I have always enjoyed reading, and was quite insatiable as a child. I also wrote stories in class and had many read out. I never set out to make a living from writing and probably never will, but I have tried to create the sort of childrens books that I enjoyed reading myself as a child.


Yes, I'm the one on the left and I'm a twin! I wrote my first book, Adventures in Cuckoos Hollow, after telling stories to my son James. The story stars all of my children as animals that live on a lake. The title of the book was taken from an area where I used to play as a child - there is a lake there too.

Since this time I have written at every opportunity, and the next two books are featured on this site. I am currently writing another two books; Until wishes are fulfilled part three. and The midnight mirror, as well as some poems. Along with this are sketches and ideas for at least another three books.
