Fly a dragon

I like to fly my dragon really, really high
Especially when it’s night time, beneath a starry sky.
I don’t mean like a kite though, with ribbons, tails and strings
I sit astride my dragon’s neck and he beats his mighty wings.

We whistle over tree tops, and across the shops and stores
Sometimes he will brush things with his mighty dragon claws.
No matter how fast we go, or high I have no fears
I simply hold on tightly to his scaly dragon ears.

And when I’m oh so tired of sweeping across the sky
We’ll head back across the city and I’ll kiss my friend goodbye
His tail will stick out straight, where I left my window wide
And through the flapping curtain and into bed I’ll slide.
